At Last!

I was out working today, wait for it............ in the sunshine!

For the first time in about five months it was nice to move about without a jacket on and when I got back to the office, the crocuses had appeared.

This made me happy as it is a sure sign that better and warmer weather is on the way.

After the winter we've just had, I hope it's a long hot summer.

But I won't be holding my breath on that happening.

Here is a wee reminder of the -16 C temperatures.

Transformation.

I have always been amazed by the skill of the make up artist.

Sarah is currently on a course on the craft at Clydebank College and needed some photographs to illustrate her work. The model for the shoot was Lauren who reminded me a bit of Ena Sharples when I first saw her coming through the door.

It was only the hair net now !

Glasgow Architecture.

Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery is a truly magnificent structure.

On a stormy day last week I took this photo.

Later on this year it will be 'Thunderstruck' again as the boys will be Back In Black.

Changing City.

I was in St Enoch Square, Glasgow this morning and this view caught my eye. Glasgow was known as the second city of the empire and had striking architecture to match.

But as I'm always saying, nothing is forever and things move on but I'm glad there are still plenty of the old buildings blending in with the new.

Mae West goes to Church!

I met 'Mae West' aka Pene Herman-Smith on Queen Margaret Drive yesterday.

Birds Of Paradise.

For some strange reason, I had associated Peacocks as birds that would only do well in tropical climates.

These two were doing very nicely in the snow at -10C in the grounds of Fasque House.

They are quite stunning.
