The Ultimate Wedding Venue.

I have been working on this project for many months and can now start to spread the word about this utterly, magnificent venue.

Fasque House, just 25 minutes from Aberdeen, at Fettercairn is to open its doors for the first time by businessman Douglas Dick-Reid and his wife Heather who have created a spectacular wedding venue and conference centre.

The historic Georgian mansion, the former family home of William Gladstone - one of Britain's most famous Prime Ministers, is to host an exhibition of some of the best wedding service providers in the North East of Scotland in a bid to help brides plan their big day free from stress.

Everything from florists to photographers will be on hand on Sunday, March 27 at the first free exhibition of its kind to be held at Fasque House.

Fasque House is one of Scotland's most prestigious private stately homes boasting several reception rooms and bedrooms, including a self-contained three-bedroom bridal suite, over three floors and 33,500sq ft of elegant space.

Weddings and civil ceremonies can be held inside the magnificent entrance hall in front of an elegant double cantilevered staircase, believed to be the largest of its type in the UK, which is naturally lit by a giant ornate cupola.

Corinthian columns, arched doorways, decorative stucco cornices and ceiling roses adorn the reception rooms along with decorative marble or timber fireplaces and original cast-iron grates which provide a luxurious insight into the grandeur of a bygone age.

Outside the house acres of rolling lawns, peacocks, white deer and an abundance of wildlife provide an ideal romantic backdrop for wedding photographs.

This is going to be a very popular place for and it's only just over two hours drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh.
