The Fix play Royal Exchange Square.

In an earlier blog I commented on how I have always admired buskers who play in all weathers for busy people rushing past.

Well, last Saturday, I was meeting up with my eldest son Roddy when I bumped into my youngest son Andrew. He was playing and singing away in the rain with band members, Connor and Alan from their band The Fix in Glasgow's Royal exchange Square.

Judging by the amount of dosh they were getting, the shoppers were impressed.

They were great!

i am pro-busker and just don't understand why so many people rush by and don't take the time to listen.
i have seen live events in a record shop and people don't pay attention...you are in a music store buying music and there is music live right there!! glad to hear your son and his bandmates were well received. if i were there i too would be listening intently and adding to the "dosh".
on a side note, i have started to try and learn the Japanese sanshin (3-string banjo like instrument) which i bought in Okinawa last year. someday, someday i hope to be on a corner somewhere plucking away.
